Should you buy silver bars (or silver rounds)? In this video I discuss whether or to buy silver bars or to stick with government minted silver coins or silver bullion. Tim, my local coin shop silver dealer, also weighs in on the scarcity of large silver bars like Engelhard and Johnson Matthey. I also briefly remind you of what “Stacking the Yankee Way is all about! I finally I explain why I purchased this kilo bar of silver and what I’ve learned about the draw of silver bars. I love stacking the American silver eagle, the Canadian silver maple leaf, the silver Britannia, and constitutional silver (“junk silver”). What have I decided when it comes to buying silver bars or coins? Watch and find out! I stack silver and gold to hedge against our debt-fueled, fiat currency-based economy that I am convinced is nearing the end of the road! Consider stacking silver and gold yourself to help you build and preserve wealth. And thank you for watching Yankee Stacking! 🥇🥈YANKEE’S ONLINE BULLION DEALERS! 1. I just got started stacking silver.
I cashed out my 401K and bought several 100 ounce bars. I only bought the big bars. I took them down to my local guy, he offered to buy them all from me $2 over spot. I told him no, and then I bought 2 kilo bars from him.
I 100% believe that Silver is going to the moon after the RV.
Plus, these bars are most definitely going to go into manufacturing products.
I’m not concerned about reselling them, or paying out high premiums when I buy.
That is why I chose buying big bars.

  2. My question is where does everyone store coins or bars?If in a time of crisis you would need them readily available, correct?

  3. In a shtf world, the little thingy buys the little things. The bigger thingy buys the bigger things. Diversify your stack.

  4. Do you think the Britannia coins will go up in value now Queen Elizabeth II has passed away? Since it will be the last of its series with her head on it.

  5. The only silver I acquire that I sell or would sell is any sterling that I pick up when I find a good deal on it. But for the most part I buy the best value at the time. My stack looks like a pirates chest lol. Coins, rounds, bars, jewelry, silverware etc. I even use silver dishes as ashtrays, candleholders and candy dishes around the house. My coffee spoon was made in America during the revolutionary war. That’s the one thing that I didnt get for value. It cost me a small fortune.

  6. I would trust any silver no matter the size …. .. .. ( Once it’s ran by a sigma.)
Only issue with coins is its very difficult to get a decent premium back “whatever your perception of decent ” is..All is good in my opinion..I’ll melt the bars and hold them over a bucket of water and make nuggets out of them if need be for purchasing items..Alot more convenient in my opinion..but judging by Venenzuela I doubt it’ll get there..but who truly knows..

  7. Consider the scenario in which you needed to purchase a big ticket item, like a tractor or a new replacement engine. The cost is quoted as $1,000 silver dollars. If all you have are silver coins, then you would completely exhaust your silver reserves on this one purchase. However, if you owned a bar then you’d be able to to offset/reduce the cost. Personally, a KILO bar would only make sense in big-ticket purchases and to seasoned stackers with an already established/strong foundation of minted coins and rounds (those should be prioritized first). Then it might be a good idea to expand into bars. Additionally, the 10oz and 100oz bars make for a more practical stacking option since most big-ticket items would likely only cost a fraction of a KILO bar. But again…it’s more about having the necessary silver weights on-hand to facilitate the transaction. So for a seasoned stacker who has already invested in coins, rounds, and even smaller denomination bars…a couple of KILO bars may be completely reasonable. But I would never start here, and even then…if you had the space the smaller bars and coins will certainly be more popular and more liquid.

  8. In this modern society, silver and gold will never be used to barter! They’re relics for collecting and cashing out several years down the road.
