    1. They’re very different. Tidio is Live chat and chat bots, it does those very well. JivoChat adds in social channel and email integration making it a fuller customer service app. JivoChat does not have chat bot capability at the moment.

I hope that helps 🙂 Let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks for watching!

  1. Wow looks amazing (and all of that for free?!$) will def check it out Bjorn and thanks for another amazing WP heads up! #winWIN

    1. You’re welcome Sterling. Since recording/publishing this video the free account has dropped to 5 agents instead of 30. But 5 agents can still do A LOT of customer support, so it’s still a good deal.

  2. Looks like something I may be adding to my Granddaughter’s website. I just checked their site and the fre version is now available for only 5 agents. Guess things change very quickly. Thank you for sharing!

    1. Hi John,

That was a very quick change on their part indeed! I did think 30 agents for free was very generous; that’s one reason I was so excited about it. But 5 agents can still complete A LOT of customer service in a day, so the free option is still good I think.

  3. HI Bjorn, another great and informative tutorial. Many thanks. May I ask your advice? I just had an email from a local artist and she has asked for details on how to add purchase option to her website. I wondered whether you could advise or whether you have anything like that in your tutorials? It looks as though she has a WP site already. Feel free to email me.

    1. Hi Andy,

I think this discussion could be helpful to others, so I’m answering the question here. If we need to get into specific details we can switch to email.

There are multiple ways to add purchase options to a site and the one you choose will depend on what is being sold.

One of the simplest purchase options is to add a PayPal button to your site. Someone clicks the button, pays and then you fulfill the order manually. You can add some automation to this to deliver the purchased item automatically, but it can get technical.

Next, if you’re selling courses, complete LMS plugins like LearnDash, WPLifter or CourseWare have checkout capabilities built right into them. You just have to integrate your payment processor (like PayPal or Stripe or another) and you’re set.

The most complex option is to build a full online store using WooCommerce. Then you can sell multiple products, with variations, inventory (if they’re physical products), and more. This is what you would call an eCommerce store.

If you let me know which direction the local artist wants to go I give more specific advice.

I don’t have any videos addresses these specific situations, but I’ve added them to my list of videos to make.

  4. recently one of my client site was infected by malware, have few security plugin like wordfence(free) and others…..hosting told me following are missing and client doesnt want go for paid security options.
    1.X-Frame-Options
    2.X-XSS-Protection
    3.X-Content-Type-Options

so can anyone suggest method to protect site from hackers, malware, virus and so on….(i know i wont me full secure without mainly paid services ) but still can take prevention……

  5. Hey Björn, thanks a lot! Is it besser then tidio chat? What could u recommend for me? And what are the biggest differences? I appreciate your help, great video as always! 5 stars!

    1. Hi SK,

Good question. Tidio and Jivo have just the live chat in common.

Tidio also gives you the ability to create chat bots, which JivoChat doesn’t.

JivoChat allows you to integrate social channels and email into one inbox for easy support. Tidio is not able to do that.

Tidio focuses on chat on your website (chat bots being another form of chat) while JivoChat strives to be a unified inbox for messages from lots of different places, including live chat.

      I hope that makes sense!

  6. That is a nice video you display here thanks but can I use jivochat for multivendor e-commerce website like Alibaba.com

  7. You create so many videos that are very helpful! Thank you!
My question – because customers who chat enter their email address (which I would require) does Jivo integrate with the WordPress Register functionality? I’d like to build membership to the site so I can eventually send out a newsletter. Also which plug-in would you recommend for sending out a newsletter to Subscribers on the website?
Once again thank you for your expertise! I’ve been using your videos to learn to build a WordPresssite and I’m now to the point of putting together a blogging website to provide Internet Knowledge among a few other subjects and provide support for answering questions about the blog topics.

  8. I was researching this software, but when I typed my phone number on the chat site on Jivochat website, I was immediately bombarded by random spam callers. Possibly a coincidence but what if I passed on my work phone # to a billion foreign scam callers because I used this site? Makes me wonder if they would use my chat customer contact information for themselves.

  9. JivoChat’s website indicates only 5 agents with the free version (also noted by the creator). But still probably sufficient for trying out.

  10. I am looking to offer videochat user to user on my website, suggestions anyone?
Oh and text chat user to user
Maybe a room whereas its a free for all,, like a chatroom.
