I’m hiring a Research Assistant/Associate to work on the EPSRC-funded Adaptive PETs to Protect & emPower People throughout Life Transitions (AP4L) mission. The mission is being undertaken with the Universities of Surrey, Queen Mary, Strathclyde, Edge Hill, and Edinburgh.
AP4L is a program of interdisciplinary analysis, centring on the net privateness & vulnerability challenges that individuals face when going by main life transitions. The 4 transitions we’re contemplating within the scope of this mission are relationship breakdowns; LBGT+ transitions or transitioning gender; getting into/ leaving employment within the Armed Forces; and creating a critical sickness or turning into terminally ailing. Our central objective is to develop privacy-by-design applied sciences to guard & empower individuals throughout these transitions.
We are in search of a researcher with expertise in quantitative knowledge evaluation, risk evaluation, knowledge science, machine studying and/or pure language processing, in addition to glorious programming and technical writing abilities. Expertise in cybercrime or privateness enhancing applied sciences (PETs) analysis is fascinating, however not important. Successful candidates will assessment the related literature, design analysis initiatives, develop instruments, acquire and analyse knowledge, and write analysis outputs.
The position will analyse life transitions from the attacker’s perspective, resembling how and the place they collect details about their victims.
