  1. Hi thank you for sharing this with us.
Would please tell me what is your college degree and if it helped you get that job?

    1. I did a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and it did not help me get a job at all πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

    2. @Alif Huq Oh interesting! I did science too! What kind of courses did you do after, then (for digital marketing)?

  2. Amazing video. Thank you so much for sharing this and being so honest. I have a query. I am 30 and I just finished my PhD. I am from an English Literature background. Is it possible for me to switch to digital marketing and do a course now? I don’t have a business degree or background. But I really want to work in a field that combines various creative skills like writing, graphic designing, and video editing but in a viable way with respect to the job market. Just need your insight on that.

    1. Yes you definetely can! Personally I never studied marketing before or even worked in it and I broke into the industry. If you want help, shoot me a DM on insta @alifios and I can send voicenotes with tips / link to vids on how to make the transition

  3. Awesome video Alif! Thanks for sharing your full day. I have that same look on my face during meetings at work lol

  4. Hii!! I’m your new subs from Indonesia!! Damn. I love how you explain your story with your uniqe expressions. You made my day bro!!

  5. eyyy eyyy eyyy, Im a 3rd year student taking marketing management still dont know what to do after college hahahaha omg I still dont know what company migh take me hahahaha dammmmmm

    1. Depends on the company and the role πŸ™‚ But generally speaking, if you want a chill sit back type of role, not sure if marketing is the right fit for you.

    2. @Alif Huq then what is more suitable if i want job that not more stressful?

  6. 12:30-2 you took lunch time. Am I the only one who has to track time and show that I worked for 8 hours!!

  7. How did you get your first entry level job in marketing and what are the things we need to know before applying to marketing?

  8. Hey there! I really love your energy and it gives me hope. πŸ˜€ I work as a Digital Marketing Specialist for 4 months now. The thing is, I never did marketing before, I have a BA in Graphic Design and I had to start from zero with all the information and the habits I need to keep up with the work.

I have a question for you: where is it cool to start with? KPI notions, theory and stuff like that? Or practicing until it gets better? (This is what I’m doing right now lol)

I sometimes feel like a fraud, I’m also shy and when I have to talk to the Copywriter, it’s complicated for me. Teach me, master!! πŸ˜†πŸ˜†

    1. Hey Eva! Congrats on the marketing role, it seems like you’ve decided to step into growth. I’m excited to see what the future holds for you.

I’d recommend you practice until you get better. On top of that, research while you do. For example, in your job you might be asked to create a landing page, but instead of simply creating one off the top of your head, research what makes a really good landing page and spend about an hour doing so before actually creating one.

      This will do two things:

      – You’ll learn the theory but practically apply it so you don’t forget
      – You’ll be able to keep up with the slang and knowledge of other reputable marketers

This is something I’m still doing now to this day and it’s been helping me a lot.

So again, research while you do.

  9. Bro why the f**k do you have to show us , you are brushing your teeth, eating, shitting, while in the life of digital marketing manager ?
Even a homeless person does it. πŸ˜’πŸ˜’πŸ˜’πŸ˜‘

  10. Hahaha you seem such a lovely guy and talking about your mum and your lunch made me laugh so hard πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
it is same with me I am actually 10 years older than you and living of course on my own

still taking sometimes a lunch from my mum πŸ˜‡πŸ˜…πŸ₯Ή
